Unitree Robotics has unveiled the Unitree As2, a compact yet powerful quadruped robot designed to accelerate intelligent automation across industrial and professional applications.

On February 24, Unitree Robotics officially unveiled its latest quadruped robot, Unitree As2, a new product positioned for industrial and professional applications. Featuring a compact form factor paired with high explosive power—delivering performance roughly equivalent to 2× Go2—the As2 is designed to provide more agile and intelligent solutions for specialized fields.

The Unitree As2 demonstrates formidable capabilities in both power output and endurance. Its joint modules deliver a peak torque of up to 90 N·m, enabling agile movement and heavy-load operation across complex terrain. In terms of endurance, the robot can operate for over four hours under no-load conditions, while in working scenarios carrying a 15 kg payload, it can still achieve a walking range of more than 13 kilometers. The As2 reaches a top speed of 5 m/s and features IP54-rated protection against water splashes, further extending its suitability for outdoor use in harsh weather and damp environments.

Notably, Unitree Robotics has opened a secondary development ecosystem for the As2. This allows enterprise users and research institutions to deeply customize algorithms and functionalities based on specific needs, unlocking broader applications across vertical industries.

The global quadruped robot market is currently entering a phase of rapid growth. According to data from the Co-research Industry Research Institute, the global market reached USD 1.97 billion in 2024 and is projected to expand to USD 5.95 billion by 2031. In China, Unitree Robotics holds a leading position, with industry statistics indicating a 60.11% market share, driven by its technological advantages.

Earlier this month, Unitree Robotics, in collaboration with HKT, successfully deployed quadruped robots in Hong Kong across construction safety inspections and secondary school education scenarios, highlighting the strong real-world potential of physical AI technologies.
