Xiaoyubot founder Qiao Zhongliang embodies typical traits of "Xiaomi-school" embodied intelligence entrepreneurs. Since its February 2023 establishment, Xiaoyubot has targeted "industrial general-purpose embodied intelligence." Welding robots, as the first product, entered customer production lines in the fourth quarter of 2025.
After graduating with a master's degree from Beihang University in 2010, Qiao joined a startup-stage Xiaomi as its first fresh graduate hire. Upon departure, he had served as MIUI research and development head for five years, setting Xiaomi's fastest promotion record. During 13 years at Xiaomi, Qiao accumulated large-scale software-hardware collaborative system integration expertise.
Qiao founded Xiaoyubot targeting "one brain, multiple forms": using one multimodal embodied intelligence brain to drive different robot morphologies including single-arm, wheeled dual-arm, and humanoid. Qiao estimates that once "one brain, one form" is achieved in any scenario, cross-hardware adaptation difficulty could drop to around 10 percent.
After extensive market research, Qiao discovered welding has over 10 million shortage in single occupation category—ranking first. After anchoring on welding scenarios, Qiao transferred Xiaomi's "hit product" methodology to business-to-business. Xiaoyubot selects top-tier supply chain for core components, amortizing costs through scale shipments. The company estimates smart welding robot demand could reach tens of millions units.
Technically, Xiaoyubot follows the path Tesla FSD validated: end-to-end, data-driven. The company employs a data-driven native multimodal three-dimensional world model, yielding a foundation model with genuine physical scale understanding.
Recently, Smart Emergence exclusively learned Xiaoyubot completed Series B financing, led by HuaYe TianCheng with participation from CMB International, Moutai Fund, Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Angel Fund, and additional investment from existing shareholders Didi and Xiaomi co-founder Li Wanqiang.
